What’s free vs. Premium?
GPS location tracking is always free on every collar, with no subscription — always know where your pet is. Yippr Premium is the conversational part: everyday chat, training, live web answers (including vet guidance), facts, and a personality that grows. Lost-pet reunite is also available for free through the app.
How much is it, and what comes with my collar?
Every Yippr collar includes 3 months of Premium, free. After that, Premium is $9.99/month — or $99/year, which works out to two months free and is the simplest way to keep your pet’s voice going. Buy or pair a second collar and the free time stacks — it extends your time, it doesn’t reset it.
What happens when Premium lapses?
Nothing breaks and nothing goes silent. Your pet simply stops chatting and gently lets you know its Premium voice is napping until you renew. The vet safety feature keeps working the whole time.
If I return my collar, do I keep the free Premium?
No — returning (or refunding) a collar ends the free Premium that came with it. We remove only the time that collar added; any time from another collar or a paid subscription stays, and we never claw back time you’ve already used. This is part of our return policy so there are no surprises.
How do the calming sounds and music work?
Just ask your pet to play something — “play rain sounds,” “put on a calm playlist,” a podcast, an audiobook, anything. Yippr picks soothing, continuous audio for moments like storms or being home alone, and plays it in your pet’s voice. It runs on your own Spotify account (Spotify Premium is required for playback), so your whole library is available too.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Manage or cancel your subscription anytime from your dashboard — you keep Premium until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
